Welcome to HEIC to JPG Converter. ByteStudio ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy details how data is handled when you download, install, or use the HEIC to JPG Converter mobile application (the "App") on Android and iOS devices.
By downloading or using the App, you agree to the privacy practices outlined in this policy. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please do not use the App.
1. 100% Offline & On-Device Processing Guarantee
HEIC to JPG Converter is designed and engineered strictly as an offline-first, client-only utility. All image decoding, format conversions (HEIC/HEIF to JPG, PNG, and WebP), compression calculations, and batch exports take place exclusively on your physical device hardware:
- We do not upload your photographs, gallery images, screenshots, or converted image files to remote servers or cloud systems.
- We do not inspect, index, or store personal image contents, faces, or embedded EXIF metadata (such as GPS coordinates or timestamps) on external servers.
- All photo conversions are executed locally in device memory and saved directly to your local file storage or photo library.
2. Device Permissions & Purpose
To select, convert, and save photos on your device, the App requests standard runtime permissions:
- Photo Library & Media Storage (
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES/READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Required strictly to enable photo picking from your gallery and to save converted JPG, PNG, or WebP files to your device storage. - Photo Sharing & File Intent: Required only when you explicitly tap the "Share" or "Save to Gallery" action to export converted files to external apps or cloud drives of your choice.
You can revoke or manage these permissions at any time through your device System Settings. Revoking permissions will limit the App ability to access or save images on your device.
3. Account & Registration Free
You are not required to create an account, log in with social providers, or provide an email address to use HEIC to JPG Converter. The App operates instantly without any user identification or credential storage.
4. Third-Party Services & Analytics
To maintain, monetize, and distribute the App, we use industry-standard SDKs:
- Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads): The App is ad-supported. Google AdMob may automatically collect pseudonymous advertising identifiers (such as Google AAID or Apple IDFA), coarse IP address, and interaction metrics to display relevant contextual or personalized ads. - Expo & React Native Runtime: Provides cross-platform application execution. Expo may collect anonymized diagnostic metadata (such as OS version, device architecture, and crash traces) to maintain system stability. Learn more at the Expo Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Because ByteStudio does not hold or store your converted photos on any cloud server, you have complete control over data retention:
- Converted images are stored directly in your device photo gallery or designated output folder and can be deleted by you at any time.
- Uninstalling the App or clearing its cache will permanently remove all temporary processing artifacts from your device.
6. Children Privacy
HEIC to JPG Converter does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Since all image conversions occur locally without registration, no personal records are transmitted or retained.
