Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 8, 2026
Welcome to JPG to PDF Converter. ByteStudio ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy details how data is handled when you download, install, or use the JPG to PDF Converter mobile application (the "App") on Android and iOS devices.
By downloading or using the App, you agree to the privacy practices outlined in this policy. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please do not use the App.
1. 100% Offline & On-Device Processing Guarantee
JPG to PDF Converter is built as an offline-first, client-only application. All image manipulations, format parsing, page reordering, compression algorithms, and PDF rendering operations occur strictly on your local device:
- We do not upload your photographs, documents, receipts, or generated PDFs to any external server or cloud database.
- We do not store, index, or analyze image contents or metadata (such as EXIF camera data or timestamps) on remote servers.
- Your original photos and converted PDF files remain strictly within your device file storage.
2. Device Permissions & Purpose
To perform core document conversion functions, the App may request runtime permissions on your mobile device:
- Camera Permission (
CAMERA): Required only if you choose to scan physical documents, IDs, or receipts in real-time. Captured camera frames are fed directly into the on-device PDF engine and never transmitted externally. - Photo Library / Media Storage Permission (
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES/READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Required to allow you to select images (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, etc.) from your gallery for document conversion.
You can revoke or modify these permissions at any time via your device's System Settings. Revoking permissions may limit your ability to select or scan images directly within the App.
3. Account & Registration Free
You are not required to create an account, register an email address, or log in with social providers to use JPG to PDF Converter. The application works immediately without credentials.
4. Third-Party Services & Diagnostics
To maintain, monetize, and distribute the App, we integrate standard, privacy-compliant developer libraries:
- Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads): The App is ad-supported. Google AdMob may automatically collect pseudonymous advertising identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID / AAID or Apple IDFA), coarse IP address, and interaction metrics to serve relevant contextual or personalized banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. You can opt out of personalized tracking in your device privacy settings. Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Expo & React Native Runtime: Provides cross-platform native execution. Expo may collect anonymized diagnostic metadata (such as operating system version, device model, and fatal crash traces) to help maintain app stability. Learn more in the Expo Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Because ByteStudio does not hold or store your converted documents on remote servers, you maintain 100% control over your data retention:
- You can delete any exported PDF directly from your device's file manager or download folder at any time.
- Clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App will permanently remove all temporary cache and recent conversion histories from your device.
6. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Because all conversions are executed locally on-device without registration, no personal records are transmitted or maintained.
