Welcome to Vital Metrics. We value your privacy above all else. This Privacy Policy explains how ByteStudio ("we", "our", or "us") handles your data when you use the Vital Metrics mobile application (the "App" or "Vital Metrics").

Unlike modern wellness apps that collect, track, and sell your personal details, Vital Metrics is built on a privacy-by-default, local-first architecture. Please read the terms below to understand how your information is kept secure.

1. Local-First Data Storage

All biometric values, profile parameters, and calculator inputs that you enter in the App are stored strictly on your device's local storage (using an encrypted SQLite file).

  • Biometric Data: Your age, height, weight, gender, and activity levels are processed locally on your hardware to generate BMI, BMR, TDEE, macronutrient splits, body fat, and ideal weight estimates.
  • History Logs: Any calculation history or profile logs are saved locally and never sent to external servers.
  • No Cloud Syncing: We do not operate databases or user registration portals. We do not have access to, nor do we store, any of your physical health parameters or profile data.

2. Information Collected Automatically

To sustain the App's free availability and support basic monetization, we integrate third-party mobile advertising SDKs:

  • Advertising Identifiers: We integrate Google AdMob, which collects standard, non-sensitive hardware identifiers (such as Android AAID or iOS IDFA) to serve contextual and personalized ads, perform frequency capping, and prevent fraudulent clicks.
  • Device Metadata: Basic device parameters (such as operating system version, device model, and interface language settings) are parsed to localize calculations (e.g., metric vs. imperial units) and ensure native layout compatibility.

3. Third-Party Services We Use

The App integrates the following third-party library to serve ads. This provider may collect and process identifiers according to their own privacy standards:

  • Google AdMob: Serves banner and advanced native ads. You can control or limit ad tracking directly through your mobile device's settings menu (e.g. "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android or "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS). Google Privacy Policy.

4. Data Deletion and Clear Functions

Because all data is stored locally in your device's SQLite partition, you have complete control over its deletion:

  • You can reset or wipe all data fields instantly inside the App's settings tab by clearing your profile parameters.
  • Uninstalling the App from your device will permanently erase all local SQLite files, settings, and calculation logs. Since we do not back up this data to external clouds, this deletion is absolute and cannot be undone.

5. Children's Privacy

Vital Metrics is intended for use by adults interested in fitness planning and biometric estimations. We do not knowingly collect or target information from children under 13 years of age.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate revisions by changing the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App following updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
